Lund's Waldorf School is seeking a dedicated and creative music teacher for grades 4 to 9 who wants to contribute to students' musical and personal development in a vibrant and holistic school environment.
As a music teacher with us, you have a central role in the school's artistic and social life. You create teaching where music becomes a living language to develop students' listening, collaboration, creativity, and expressive abilities.
The position also involves being linked to a class as a shared class teacher, meaning you, together with the class teacher, follow the students' development and are an important adult in their daily lives.
We work based on the holistic view of Waldorf pedagogy, where teaching engages thought, feeling, and will. Music teaching takes its starting point in the practical and experience-based through singing, rhythm, movement, and collective music-making, and gradually develops towards a deeper musical understanding.
About Lund's Waldorf School
The school is located close to nature in Hardeberga outside Lund and is run as a non-profit, not-for-profit foundation.
We have about 165 students in grades F to 9 and around forty employees. Waldorf pedagogy forms the basis of all our activities and creates a school environment where creativity, responsibility, and long-term relationship-building are central parts.
With us, teachers have room for pedagogical freedom, subject depth, and close collaboration with colleagues.
About Music Teaching
The music subject has a central role in the school's pedagogical whole and permeates both teaching and common contexts.
The teaching is based on active participation where students get to:
- Develop their music-making through singing, choir, and ensemble playing.
- Practice rhythm, ear training, listening, and collaboration.
- Work with acoustic instruments and various musical forms of expression.
- Encounter music as part of culture, history, and community.
Music is integrated into the school's traditions and contributes to creating meaning, context, and participation.
Job Duties
As a music teacher in grades 4 to 9, you will:
- Teach music according to Lgr22 and A Path to Freedom.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching.
- Lead students in singing, choir, rhythmics, and ensemble playing.
- Be a shared class teacher and contribute to the class's development.
- Create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment.
- Stimulate students' creativity, expression, and collaboration skills.
- Contribute to the school's concerts, performances, and traditions.
- Collaborate with colleagues, student health, and guardians.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who meet the school's eligibility requirements:
- Waldorf teacher education or ongoing education
- State teacher education.
- Subject and didactic competence through education, work experience, and courses.
- Interest in further training within Waldorf pedagogy.

Employment Conditions
Scope: 70%
Start date: as agreed
Salary according to collective agreement and the school's internal salary scale.
