Quotation Engineer/Project Manager/Problem Solver

Hallsbergs smide AB has existed for over 70 years and . We currently have about 35 employees. Our core values are fast deliveries, high quality, and extensive professional expertise. We operate within three different customer segments: repair/maintenance, contract manufacturing, and construction metalwork.

We also perform work directly at customer sites.

We have broad professional expertise in sheet metal processing and machining. Our focus is on small-batch manufacturing such as prototypes and smaller series sizes. We work with commonly used steel grades, stainless steel, and aluminum.

We are currently certified in ISO9001, ISO 3834-2, and EN ISO 1090

Experience in areas of welding/construction metalwork structures/repair that will be your work area.

Therefore, we need to strengthen our organization with employees who will work as "problem solvers" – quotation/project management . Where it is important that you are strongest in mechanics/welding construction and problem-solving of a simpler nature.

This means that based on the customer's wishes in the form of inquiry documents, oral discussions/site visits, sketches, and drawings, you should be able to convert it into a quotation independently.

The work also includes supporting production managers/planners in production technical work, project management, and purchasing project-specific materials.

You will also participate in management work for the company and together with the CEO work on the company's future development.

We currently use Monitor as our business system and Solid Works (formerly AutoCAD) for design.

We want You:

-preferably have education at university level or a 4-year technical high school (mechanical) or have acquired the knowledge practically over a long time in similar work tasks.

-preferably 2-5 years of experience in similar work or parts of the work tasks.

-are creative, can work independently, and have a developed sense for quality and service.

- are responsible, flexible, stress-resistant, and structured in your work.

-are production technically knowledgeable in both welding, sheet metal processing, and machining (not required).

-find it easy to collaborate with other people and appreciate a varied job with many customer contacts.

Since we will work in parallel for some years, you do not need to be completely self-sufficient from the start. However, experience from our type of manufacturing is important.
