VOOB Academy is looking for a nurse for distance-based mentorship

About VOOB:

Sweden is facing a historic skills shortage in healthcare. VOOB works to meet this challenge by recruiting, training, and integrating nurses from India into Swedish health and medical care. Through VOOB Academy, we offer an educational program that combines language teaching, mentorship, and preparations for Swedish nursing licensure. Our goal is long-term: to strengthen continuity, quality, and patient safety in healthcare.

About the position:

VOOB Academy is now looking for licensed nurses who want to serve as mentors and support international colleagues on their path to Swedish licensure and work in care and nursing.

Job duties:

• Serve as a mentor and role model for nurses in VOOB Academy's educational program.
• Introduce participants to Swedish care routines, journal systems, documentation, and communication methods – based on, among other things, the Care Handbook.
• Support in preparation for knowledge tests, practical service, and professional requirements according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's conversion process.
• Participate in the development of educational materials and individual development plans.
• Collaborate with language teachers and educational managers to integrate theory and practice.
• Follow up on participants' progression and contribute to the pedagogical development of VOOB Academy.
• Serve as a bridge between VOOB, the nurses, and the receiving care facility – by engaging in dialogue with the organization and adapting the mentorship to their needs, viewpoints, and expectations.

Qualifications:

• Licensed nurse in Sweden.
• At least two years of clinical experience.
• Experience in supervision, introduction, or mentorship.
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English and digital proficiency.
• Meritorious: Experience in municipal elderly care.
• Meritorious: Knowledge of the National Board of Health and Welfare's licensure process for nurses outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland.

• Interest in integration, education, and long-term improvements in the healthcare system.
