Teaching Assistant for Independent School in Molkom
Description
We are seeking a teaching assistant for the academic year 2026/27. The position is a full-time temporary assignment for at least 1 year with good possibilities for extension. Start date August 10, 2026.
About You
You preferably have some form of pedagogical education.
You have a pedagogical mindset and are strongly committed to students' well-being, learning, and development.
You have experience working with students with special needs and neurodevelopmental conditions. Also students with externalizing behaviors.
We prefer that you have training and/or experience working with Sign Supported Communication.
You have the ability to work independently with teaching individually or in small groups outside the classroom.
You preferably have experience from after-school activities and enjoy creating creative and engaging activities for students in the after-school program.
You are cooperative and communicative.
You are patient and calm and can approach students with externalizing behaviors in a low-arousal manner.
You speak fluent Swedish and can write and read Swedish without difficulty. This is important as students need support with language learning.
You share the association's vision, values, and goals.
Work experience is a requirement. We will only process applications from persons with at least 2 years of experience working in schools and with references.
Work Tasks:
Support teachers with planning, preparation, follow-up, and implementation of teaching. Supervise breaks and meals. Planning and teaching in small groups and/or individually, in consultation with the class teacher. Support students in the classroom. Substitute for teachers when they are absent. Conduct educational activities and provide care and security for students in the after-school program. Collaborate with the educational support team, class teacher, and other staff to develop the operations. Assessment, follow-up, and documentation of students' learning and development. Contact and communication with guardians.
