We are looking for a head waiter for the students' union house - academic year 26/27!

The Union Service is seeking a head waiter for part-time work at our union houses.

Our operations include restaurant, nightclub, conferences, banquets, and catering, with a primary focus on students at Linköping University (LiU). As a head waiter, you have a central role in creating a positive experience for our guests by leading the service, coordinating staff, and ensuring that our events and banquets run smoothly. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a student environment where community, service, and joy are the focus.

The Union Service's mission is to enable a richer student life. We create meeting places for a world-class student life at Linköping University and operate several union houses with unique conditions. Through collaboration with students, associations, and partners, we develop the operations and create more opportunities for community and experiences.

About the position

The position is a part-time employment, primarily during evenings and weekends, adapted to the needs of the operations.

As a head waiter, you are responsible for leading and coordinating the service staff during banquets and events. You ensure that the service maintains high quality and that guests have a pleasant experience. The work also includes providing support and guidance to volunteer staff, handling cash register systems, and following current routines for service and permits.

• Are a student at Linköping University
• Have a natural sense of hospitality and customer service
• Enjoy working at a fast pace and like when a lot is happening
• Are a team player who enjoys collaborating and creating a good work environment
• Have experience in service or a similar service profession
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and are comfortable speaking English
• Are responsible, solution-oriented, and see what needs to be done
