We are now preparing for a second summer season at Garveriet Visby and are seeking a passionate head chef who wants to become part of the Garveriet team.
We are a newly opened, small-scale, and family-friendly craft bakery and brunch spot, located right next to Almedalen in the heart of Visby. Now we are looking for a creative, meticulous, and ambitious head chef who wants to help create something beyond the ordinary.
About the position:
As head chef with us, you have overall responsibility for the kitchen and our brunch operations. You lead the daily work while strategically working to develop the menu, concept, and work methods. The role involves ensuring high and consistent quality, efficient operations, and an inspiring work environment.
Your main duties include:
- Leading, inspiring, and developing the kitchen team in daily work.
- Responsibility for menu development with a focus on seasonality, quality, and creativity.
- Ensuring quality, food hygiene, and a good work environment.
- Actively working with cost control, production, and waste minimization.
- Planning and structuring the kitchen's operations for efficient service.
We are looking for you who:
- Have experience in a leadership role in the kitchen, preferably as head chef or sous chef.
- Have good knowledge of food safety and food hygiene.
- Are an attentive leader with drive, a sense of responsibility, and a genuine interest in cooking and quality.
- Have an eye for both details and the big picture.
