Description

Hunter Stockholm started its operations in 1970 under the name Hundaffären as one of Stockholm's first dedicated stores for dog owners.

In 2018, we became Sweden's first Hunter Brand Store, and we can now offer our customers the entire range from the German family company, Hunter.

The operations today consist of a store for dog and cat accessories, dog daycare, dog grooming, and veterinary services.

Our ambition is to offer our customers quality products combined with a high level of customer service and knowledge about dogs.

To be considered for the position, you need to have solid knowledge about dogs and/or relevant education (e.g., animal gymnasium, natural resource gymnasium, or dog caretaker training), alternatively an approved dog daycare education that can be verified.

It is advantageous if you also have experience selling products aimed at dog owners, as work in the store is part of the position to some extent.

We are a small team where everyone depends on each other to deliver at the level our customers expect, and we place a lot of focus on ensuring all employees feel well and are an important part of the business.

As an employer, we constantly work to improve conditions for our staff, to offer a pleasant and safe workplace, and to invest in the business and personnel.

Important personal qualities, in addition to understanding the importance of customer interaction, are that you are punctual, can take instructions, but also take own responsibility when needed.

Collaboration with your colleagues and understanding the need to help each other so everyone feels good at the workplace, we believe are obvious for you.

You will work in a small team where everyone helps with everything required for daily operations.

The position is primarily as a dog caretaker, but also includes retail work.

Tasks included in the position:

  • Dog walks
  • Activation and play with dogs between walks
  • Nail clipping
  • Bathing and drying of dogs
  • Store sales
  • Unpacking and price marking of goods
  • General cleaning and emptying of trash

The position is 80% of full-time, i.e., 32 hours/week on average on a 3-week rolling schedule. There are good opportunities for overtime beyond the regular schedule if you want to work more.

Work hours vary according to a weekly schedule where you sometimes open the daycare at 7:30 and work until the afternoon, or start in the morning and work until closing at 18:00. Every third weekend, you work in the store Saturday 10-16, except during summer months when the store is only open on weekdays.

A 6-month probationary period applies, after which the employment converts to a permanent position.

Hourly wage by agreement. Vacation days and vacation pay according to the vacation law.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application period ends, so do not wait to submit your application if you are interested in working with us.
