Betlehem Church Sundsvall and Gårdtjärn Mission House are seeking a pastor

We are seeking a pastor and congregation leader full-time.

Who are we?

Our congregations are part of the Equmenia Church. Our work is characterized by an inclusive view of humanity and the equal value of all people.

Betlehem Church is located in the heart of Sundsvall city with a history of active diaconal work, worship life, and cultural events. We are involved in the Sundsvall Christian Council and have an established collaboration with the EFS Church in Sundsvall, especially around major holidays and during the summer months.

Gårdtjärn Mission House is a small congregation with a broad range of activities for all ages. Worship life stems from our groups: children's choir, adult choir, and two craft groups. A spring musical is the more unusual part of our activities. We collaborate with the Church of Sweden and local associations. We also have an apartment for guest night rentals.

What do we want as congregations?

Our vision is to be a church open to all ages. We want to be attentive to people's seeking and need for growth in their spiritual life. We have a desire to support and comfort the weak and vulnerable in our society. We want to develop the various forms of worship so that it becomes the center and source of strength for congregation activities.

Sundsvall and Gårdtjärn are located in the middle of Sweden with good communications. It is close to both the sea and mountain world. The city has a university and a rich cultural life. Gårdtjärn village is located ten kilometers from the center and is a distinct rural area where the mission house is a central concept in the district.

The position requires that you have a driver's license.

About the employment

The application deadline is May 17, but interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. The employment form is permanent. Start date and salary according to agreement.
