Summer job with extension in shop & café - pastry background prioritized

We are now looking for a person for our summer team at Österlenchoklad's factory shop and café in Skåne-Tranås.

NOTE: You must be over 16 years old to apply for this job.

During the summer, we have many visitors from both Sweden and abroad who come to enjoy fika and buy chocolate in our shop.

The work includes among other things:

• taking care of customers in the shop and café

• working at the cash register

• serving fika and maintaining order in the café

• packaging chocolate products

• assisting with other tasks in the business as needed

Employment

The position is:

100% between June 16 – August 15

After that, there is a possibility for continued work at approximately 25% on weekends after the summer season.

We would like to see that the position can develop over time and that you can also assist in other parts of the business when needed, for example in production.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are service-oriented, responsible, and thrive in an environment where the pace is sometimes high.

We prioritize applicants with education in pastry, bakery, or restaurant, preferably with a special interest in artisanal baked goods and confectionery.

That background is valuable because there may be opportunities to also assist in production in the future.

You should also:

• enjoy meeting customers and providing good service

• be meticulous and able to work independently

• contribute to a positive atmosphere in the team

Meritorious

• experience from café or shop

• experience with food handling

Svenska Kakao is an artisanal chocolate manufacturer in Österlen. In our factory in Skåne-Tranås, we produce chocolate bars, pralines, nougat, caramels, and other confectionery from carefully selected cocoa beans.

Our factory shop Österlenchoklad is a popular stop for both local guests and summer visitors, and our products are also sold to restaurants, hotels, and shops in Sweden and exported to several countries.
