Allsta School Seeks Textile Crafts Teacher for Grades 3-6
Description
Allsta School is an F-6 elementary school located in a scenic area one mile south of Sundsvall. The school is situated between Prästhusberget and Klingstatjärn, close to forest trails, ski tracks, and ancient monuments. A village school has existed here for over 100 years. The school is small in size, allowing us to create a safe environment for both students and staff. Allsta School strives to have 100% qualified educators who care about seeing each student every day.
Allsta School's vision is to have a safe and permissive learning environment characterized by curiosity, creativity, and joy in work. Each student has confidence in their own abilities and is given the opportunity to develop their full potential based on their own conditions, in collaboration with others, both adults and children. The education provides students with tools to live and act in our society in a democratic and sustainable way.
Allsta School has sustainable development as its profile. Agenda 2030 highlights environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Our school places special emphasis on social sustainability, movement and health, and outdoor education. We have our own preparation kitchen where our chef cooks all meals on-site.
The school started its operations in the autumn term of 2023 and today we have 80 students in grades F-4. We are building the operation from the ground up and growing each school year, and during the 2026–2027 school year, we will have students in grade 5 for the first time. Here, you get a unique opportunity to contribute to local anchoring and sustainable education for our students and to see a small school unit grow and develop.
