Summer Job: Canoe Rental & Guest Services in Dalsland

Bootshaus in Bengtsfors operates a canoe rental and guest facility at Dalslands Kanal – focusing on quality, not quantity. Our guests primarily come from Germany and Scandinavia and choose us because they want a thoughtful experience, not mass tourism.

We are looking for summer assistants who want to take responsibility, work independently, and give our guests an experience that stands out. You don't need to know how to paddle – but you need to enjoy talking to people, taking your own initiatives, and maintaining high standards in everything you do.

Your tasks are varied: guest reception at the canoe rental, tour instructions, preparation and checking of equipment, bookings and cash handling, maintenance of guest rooms, and basic upkeep of the facility. It is physical outdoor work, combined with guest contact and service tasks.

We offer a workplace where quality permeates everything, independent work with your own responsibility from the start, and satisfied guests who appreciate what we do. We help you find accommodation in Bengtsfors or a nearby campsite, with the possibility of subsidization for longer employment. You also get access to our canoes and kayaks during your free time.

The core period is June–August, but we have the possibility to start as early as May or extend until September. Shorter assignments within the period also work – we prioritize those who can commit for a longer time.

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years old
• Fluent Swedish and English
• Comfortable with guest contact and taking your own initiatives

Desirable:

• Availability Saturdays 8:00–14:00
• German
• Experience in tourism, service, or outdoor activities
