Lundsbergs School is seeking a school chef for the start of the school year in August. An important role where you, together with other colleagues in the kitchen team, contribute to ensuring our students receive good and nutritious meals.

Lundsbergs School is a modern boarding school with over 100 years of history, located in the beautifully scenic Storfors municipality in Värmland. We have around 250 students in grade 9 and upper secondary school, and about 100 employees. The school is run as a foundation and is characterized by a strong community and a culture where teamwork and professionalism go hand in hand.

About the position

As a school chef, you work closely with colleagues in a cohesive kitchen team. You are involved in planning and preparing the school's meals. The work follows a rotating schedule on both weekdays and weekends.

The position requires good collaboration skills, flexibility, and a willingness to contribute to a shared workflow.

The role includes:

• Preparation of lunch and dinner with a focus on nutritional value and quality
• Preparation and provision of special diets as needed
• Work according to hygiene and safety routines (HACCP)
• Receiving and handling of goods deliveries
• Contributing to a well-functioning work team and development of routines
• Serving may occur
• The school's café operations

The position is a part-time role equivalent to approximately 87% of full-time. The service is primarily scheduled during school terms.

Lundsbergs School is covered by a collective agreement, and the position begins with a 6-month probationary period.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have education or professional experience as a chef
• Have good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control
• Enjoy working in a team and have a flexible approach
• Are responsible, proactive, and structured
• Have good Swedish in speech and writing (English is advantageous)
• Hold a B driver's license (requirement)

Previous experience from school or large-scale catering is advantageous.
