
Cost Management / Quantity Surveyor

Requirement Profile:
- Post-secondary education in measurement/Quantity Surveying
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of measurement and costs within Civil, Structural, Architectural (CSA) work areas
- Experience from large-scale data center projects is advantageous
- Good skills in English, both spoken and written.
This role reports to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and the main responsibilities include:
Main Duties:
• Responsible for administration and change management related to the CSA packages
• Ensuring that all changes are recorded, cost-assessed, and validated before being forwarded to the design team and client
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, together with the project team and/or the client
• Conducting cost analyses for repair and maintenance work
• Supporting in establishing the client's requirements and conducting feasibility studies
• Performing risk, value, and cost management
• Advising on procurement strategies
• Identifying, analyzing, and developing measures for commercial risks
• Preparing and analyzing cost estimates for tenders
• Allocating work to subcontractors
• Providing advice on contract and contractual issues
• Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed reports on project progress
• Valuing completed work and managing payments
• Keeping updated on current standard agreements and contract forms
• Understanding and complying with relevant work environment and safety regulations

Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the administration and change order process associated with the CSA packages
• Ensure all changes are captured and costings appropriately assessed and validated prior to issuing to the Design Team and Client
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the project team and/or the client
• Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
• Performing risk, value management and cost control
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Allocating work to subcontractors
• Providing advice on contractual claims
• Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments
• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
The key individual will be articulate with good numeracy and time management skills. Will possess the ability to work independently and to prioritise tasks while maintaining good communication and engagement with the wider organisation.
