Electronics / Automation Technician Junior

ABOUT US:

J Group focuses on performing electrical and mechanical installations and maintenance work. Our headquarters are based in Sweden, EU, but our operational area spans the entire world and across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

We are an independent and dedicated external contractor. Primarily thanks to our reputation for accurate deliveries of cost-effective and high-quality jobs, carried out by our skilled professionals, we receive more and more assignments in various projects for large international automated system builders and integration specialists.

We have opened a new branch in North America and need to strengthen our teams with several new skilled colleagues. During 2026, we are hiring 10 - 12 new skilled craftspeople who will join our teams.

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDES:

● The automation technician will install, dismantle, troubleshoot, and inspect machine hardware. Implement electrical systems in industrial machinery, maintain and diagnose mechanical and electrical systems. Will work on installing and maintaining industrial equipment and electrical installations.

YOUR PROFILE:

● Good education in electronics and mechanical installation

● Interested in assembling worldwide and comfortable with traveling

● Mandatory knowledge of English, at least B1 (spoken and written)

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

● Good ability to understand and read electrical and mechanical drawings

● Knowledge of using installation testers, network testers, and hand tools, etc.

● Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, drawings.

● Computer literate, including Windows and MS Word Excel.

● Ability to use a computer and related software to send/receive email messages, input information into a database or spreadsheet, word processing, and data entry.

● Installation, diagnosis, and repair of electromechanical issues with conveyor belts, robotics, and other types of industrial automation.

● Have strong initiative to solve problems that fall outside documented processes. This requires the ability to gather and interpret information into solutions that are in the company's best interest.

● Have a couple of years of education and experience in industrial maintenance/installation.

● Technical knowledge of electrical systems and conveyor belt systems.

● Ability to work safely with potentially harmful components.

● Ability to work independently and in teams.

BASIC SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

● Citizenship in an EU country

● Able to pass drug and alcohol tests continuously

● Passes background checks

● Ability to read drawings and instructions from paper/digital format

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

● Driving license B, C, CE

● Certificates such as forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, hot work, etc. All types of applicable certificates are desirable.

● Tax registration number, Finland, Norway, Sweden, or any other country is desirable.

SALARY AND WORK:

● Individual salary setting depending on competence and experience.

● Working hours: Full-time
