Summer Job at Cemetery

The employment is a summer job for 4-5 weeks during the period from June to August.

Värnamo Parish has approximately 45 employees and manages five cemeteries. Are you interested in working with green environments? We want to offer our visitors a beautiful place for reflection and grief work, and your work is an important part of achieving that.

Work Tasks: Care and maintenance of gravesites, plants, green areas, and gravel surfaces, as well as other occurring work tasks.

Qualifications: Interest in garden work and preferably experience with practical work. Working at a cemetery involves encounters with people in grief and requires that you can meet them in a dignified manner. There are also high demands for service and cooperation. Good physical condition and endurance are required as heavy work tasks occur. The work is almost always outdoors, so you should enjoy working outside in all weather conditions. You must have turned 16 years old when starting the employment.

Salary according to agreement

Our summer jobs are divided into two periods. Period one, which means you work from mid-June to mid-July, and period two, between mid-July to mid-August. You indicate in your application which period you can work or if you are open to working both periods.
