Treatment Educator/Social Educator for Residential Care Facility

JOB DUTIES

We are currently seeking staff for our residential care facility. As a treatment educator, you will be part of a team with several employees. In your role as a treatment educator, you support and guide youth who may be in risk zones such as problems with crime, drugs, psychosocial issues, neuropsychiatric disabilities, destructive behavior, and mental health issues. Your main task is to work closely and together with the youth to help them achieve their goals. The assignment is designed together based on each individual's specific needs.

You plan and document the work based on the assignment from social services.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are driven and have a strong commitment to children and youth. You are structured, responsible, solution-focused, and flexible with great emphasis on the latter two. You must have the ability to stand firm and handle conflicts in a solution-focused manner, as well as accommodate the various emotional states of youth and be available to them when needed.

This position requires you to be social and have a positive attitude. You will need to collaborate with other external actors such as schools, police, youth centers, voluntary organizations, and others.

We are looking for you who:

• Have an education as a social educator, treatment educator, social worker, or equivalent education with at least 2 years of experience with the target group and similar work.
• Have previous experience working with youth, preferably in residential care facilities.
• Hold a Class B driver's license
• Have the ability to work flexibly
• Have knowledge of current legislation and the BBIC structure and a solid interest and experience in documentation work

The work is partly during evenings, daytime, and some weekends. The work schedule includes sleeping on-call or awake night shifts.
