Waldorf Preschool Ängsklockans Barnträdgård is located in a quiet residential area with a lovely garden, fruit trees, and a vegetable plot.

The operation is run as a parent cooperative (economic association) with 21 children, four educators, and a cook/food educator.

We are now seeking a principal who wants to continue developing the preschool and who upholds Waldorf pedagogy.

The preschool's activities are based on and governed by the revised preschool curriculum, Lpfö 18, and "a path to freedom," which is the common governing document for all Waldorf preschools. The implementation of the curriculum goals at our preschool has a Waldorf pedagogical orientation.

As principal, you are the link between the board and the preschool regarding the daily work at the preschool, and are responsible for ensuring that the operations follow the board's decisions.

You have a central role in achieving the goals of the pedagogical work. The principal's duties include planning and leading the pedagogical work, personnel responsibility, work environment issues, contact with guardians, and communication with the municipality and other external stakeholders.

You should have relevant education and documented experience in a leadership position within preschool and goal monitoring. You should have previous experience working under board decisions and leading projects, both short-term and long-term. You are expected to plan, lead, and develop the pedagogical work in consultation with the preschool's staff.

For us, Waldorf pedagogy is central, so we consider education and experience in this pedagogy as meritorious. Alternatively, you are willing to train and take on this pedagogy.

The position is a permanent employment at 25 percent with a six-month probationary period. Appointment in spring/summer 2026 or as agreed.
