We are now seeking a certified teacher in wood and metal crafts for grades 4–9.About the position As a teacher in wood and metal crafts at IES Kista, you will: - Teach wood and metal crafts to students in grades 4–9 in accordance with the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22). - Be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject and inspire students in both technical skill and design. - Be a secure leader in the craft room with a focus on safety and a calm study environment. - Plan, conduct, and assess engaging lessons that combine theory with practical craftsmanship. - Adapt and differentiate your teaching to challenge and support students at various levels. - Collaborate with colleagues within the aesthetic subject team to create an inspiring learning environment. - Contribute to the school's positive and international atmosphere. - As a mentor for 16 students, support them in reaching their full potential, regardless of background.Qualifications - Teacher degree and certification in crafts with a focus on wood and metal for grades 4–9. - Strong communication skills in both English and Swedish. - Experience in teaching in an international or bilingual environment is advantageous. - A structured, safety-conscious, and professional approach to teaching and teamwork.Application To apply, submit your CV, cover letter, and a valid extract from the criminal record for work in schools.
