
Campus Security Coordinator
Description
As a Campus Security Coordinator, you are responsible for monitoring and coordinating all security-related functions at a data center campus during the construction phase.
As a Campus Security Coordinator, you ensure that the area remains secure, that access is correctly controlled, and that contractors, suppliers, and visitors comply with the company's and client's security policies. You serve as the primary contact point between project management, contractors, and contracted security to maintain a safe, compliance-focused, and well-protected environment throughout the construction project.
Security Operations & Supervision
- Be responsible for the daily security operations at the construction campus.
- Lead and monitor contracted security personnel to ensure adequate staffing and routine compliance.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the area, entry and exit points, and high-risk areas.
- Maintain all security and work environment policies, including PPE requirements and access restrictions.
Access Control & Badging
- Administer and monitor access control systems for personnel, vehicles, and equipment.
- Be responsible for issuing badges, registering visitors, and deactivating permissions.
- Keep current authorization lists and ensure that access requirements are complied with.
Monitoring & Control Systems
- Monitor CCTV systems.
- Identify and act on unauthorized activity or alarms from security systems.
- Coordinate maintenance and testing of security and monitoring systems.
Incident Management & Reporting
- Manage incidents such as intrusion, theft, vandalism, or emergencies.
- Document and report all incidents and follow up with corrective actions.
Collaboration with Contractors & Suppliers
- Work closely with construction management, main contractors, and suppliers to agree on security requirements.
- Hold security inductions for new personnel on the site.
- Ensure that contractors follow security routines and work environment regulations.
Asset Protection & Loss Prevention
- Monitor protection of materials, tools, and critical assets on site.
- Conduct regular inventories and coordinate secure storage of valuable items.
- Investigate and report incidents related to loss or unauthorized removal of property.
Policies, Compliance & Audits
- Apply and maintain security standards.
- Support security audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal regulations.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain logs, incident reports, and security documentation accurately and confidentially.
- Provide regular updates and summaries to project management.
- Suggest improvements to site layout, access routes, or lighting to enhance overall security.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security coordination, preferably in construction or critical infrastructure.
- Background in security management or equivalent.
- Knowledge of electronic access control systems and CCTV.
- Good communication skills, leadership, and incident management competence.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and high-risk construction environment with many actors.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office or similar reporting tools.
- B driver's license.
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations & Supervision
· Manage daily on-site security operations across the construction campus.
· Supervise contract security personnel to ensure adequate coverage and adherence to procedures.

· Respond to and manage incidents such as trespassing, theft, vandalism, or emergencies.
· Document and report all incidents and follow up with corrective actions.
Contractor & Vendor Coordination
· Collaborate with construction management, general contractors, and vendors to align on security expectations.
· Conduct security induction sessions for new site personnel.
· Ensure contractor compliance with security and safety procedures.
