ERA Shipping operates and crews 3 vessels on behalf of Strömma Tourism & Shipping;

The vessels accommodate up to 300 passengers and operate on both the Saltsjön and Lake Mälaren on regular schedules as well as charter assignments.

Ahead of the summer season, we are seeking new dedicated employees for deck service.

As an able seaman, you are part of the daily operations on board and are included in the vessel's safety crew. Work includes everything from starting machinery, maintaining systems, and mooring work to welcoming guests on board and ensuring their experience is as good as possible. You will work in a team of additional deckhands/seamen and/or captains as well as restaurant staff depending on which vessel you serve on. Great emphasis is placed on teamwork, initiative, communication skills, and a willingness to develop. The work on board is varied and sometimes physically demanding, so good basic fitness is advantageous.

  • Qualified able seaman (requirement)
  • Engineer Class 8 (requirement)
  • Fluent Swedish is a requirement.
  • Minimum 18 years old.
  • Color vision, good eyesight and hearing (medical certificate for seafarers required).
  • Basic safety training required.
  • Previous service experience is meritorious.
